Frequently Asked Questions

“Green”  Wood

“Green” wood waste is generated from various arbor operations such as tree trimming for utilities, for parks and recreations areas, along roads and streets, and land clearing for development. This material is recycled in such forms as logs for production of lumber, landscape wood chips for moisture retention and weed control and firewood. Much of the wood is also recycled into process steam and heat for schools and businesses and electricity for use by all.
